Dear Customer:
Thank you for purchasing Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® engineered decking products. Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® is manufactured and warranted by A.E.R.T. Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® decking products are engineered for safety and durability and are guaranteed to provide a minimum of 20 years of superior performance under terms of the limited warranty against rot, fungal decay and termite damage.
Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® products are designed and guaranteed to cover excessive swelling, delamination, checking and splintering for a minimum of 10 years while not requiring costly water proofing or sealing on a regular basis.
A.E.R.T. is not responsible for any damage to Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® used in commercial or industrial structures. This is a residential warranty only. Therefore, A.E.R.T. is not responsible for any misapplication of its products. Commercial warranties will be granted on a case by case basis and after certified engineering review for compliance with applicable building codes.

Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® is not designed to span more than 18" on center. Live loads should conform to applicable building codes and local regulations. Spanning more than 18" will automatically void this warranty.
Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® is not designed for or intended to be used as a one-for-one structural replacement for wood in structural applications such as columns, beams, joists, or primary load bearing members.
Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® is not a one-for-one replacement for wood in structural applications such as joists, support posts or beams. Pressure Treated posts wrapped with our post wrap are recommended. All above ground and high level railing should be supported by wood or metal structural members.

Limited Warranty
Twenty Year Limited Warranty
20 Year Limited Residential Decking Warranty Against Rot & Termite Damage Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® engineered decking components used in residential decking construction are warranted for a period of 20 years from date of installation against rot or fungal decay, termites or insect damage, when installed in a professional manner following A.E.R.T. spanning and installation instructions and in compliance with applicable building codes.
Ten Year Limited Warranty
Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® products are also designed and guaranteed against excessive swelling, delamination, checking and splintering for a minimum of 10 years while not requiring costly water proofing or sealing on a regular basis. Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® is manufactured under several U.S. Patents including U.S. Patent No. 5759680.
Conditions and exceptions
"This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of any warranty of merchantability, fitness for purpose, or other warranty or quality, whether express or implied, and of all other liabilities and obligations on the manufacturer's part."
A.E.R.T. warrants the products to the original consumer purchaser or first owner of its warranted Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® decking components, so long as they own the structure or project, and Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® is utilized in a residential application. A.E.R.T. will warrant that Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® residential decking components will be free of damage from decay or termite attack which would make Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® structurally unfit for the purpose it was intended for a period of 20 years from date of installation.
To qualify for A.E.R.T.'s Limited Warranty, you must be the owner of record of the property at the time Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® was installed or, if the Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® was installed by a builder or contractor, first owner means the owner of record first acquiring the property from the builder/contractor. This warranty is not transferable.
Under the terms of this warranty the original consumer purchaser or first owner will be entitled to receive new Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® components in exchange for the termite or decay damaged material. In order to make a claim under this warranty, you must first fill out and mail in the Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® customer information card promptly following installation to activate your warranty. All claims must be addressed to the company and include proof of purchase, including the date and location purchased, along with the original purchase invoice to show that sufficient Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® has been purchased to cover the material in the claim.
A.E.R.T., when notified in writing and after a company representative has inspected and deemed the component defective according to the terms of this warranty, will provide replacement components free-of-charge and deliver them to the home owner or job site, as determined by A.E.R.T. There is no provision for replacement labor, and A.E.R.T. will not be liable for any products repaired or replaced without prior written consent from A.E.R.T. Failure to adhere to and follow local building codes and the A.E.R.T. spanning and installation instructions will automatically void this warranty. Improper installation or damage from excessive abuse or negligence will automatically void this warranty.
A.E.R.T. is not responsible for any damage to Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® used in commercial or industrial structures. This is a residential warranty only. Therefore, A.e.r.t. is not responsible for any misapplication of its products.
Some sales representatives of AERT, Weyerhaeuser or its customers may have made oral statements about the product described in this warranty. Such statements are not warranties. This writing embodies the entire limited warranty of Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® and is a complete and exclusive statement of the terms and remedies under this limited warranty issued for Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek®.
The purchaser or user is solely responsible for determining the suitability of Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® decking for its intended application, including whether the product conforms to applicable building codes or safety regulations in a particular area. A.E.R.T. shall not be bound by any statement or representation as to the performance or weatherability of Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® decking products, other than if accompanied by a signed written document from an officer of A.E.R.T.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state.
