Under tremendous pressure, the liquid enters the wood to protect against bacteria, fungi, insects and marine organisms that normally feed off its fibers.

America's Original Water Repellent Pressure Treated Lumber
Since 1970, Osmose has been using WeatherShield to pressure treat wood commercially in the United States. WeatherShield pressure treated wood provides unique protection in two stages
Stage 1 - Slower drying
First, WeatherShield minimizes the initial shock of outdoor exposure by actually slowing the rate of moisture release from the wood's surface.
