ABOUT HARDBOARD SIDING
Hardboard is a generic term for a panel manufactured primarily from inter-felted ligno-cellulosic fibers, consolidated under heat and pressure in a hot press of density of 31 pounds per cubic foot (a specific gravity of about 0.5: or about 0.50 grams per cubic centimeter density) or greater. Other materials may be added during manufacture to improve certain properties such as stiffness, hardness, finishing properties, resistance to abrasion and moisture, as well as to increase strength, durability and utility.

Catawba® Hardboard Siding has set the standard for durability. Available in a variety of lap and panel styles and sizes; smooth face and a variety of textures that resemble rough-cut timber.
Catawba Hardboard Siding comes factory-primed; ready for paint.
Sundance®
Sundance® textured hardboard siding provides realbeauty at significant cost saving with its natural looking, soft embossed woodgrain texture. Sundance is available in a variety of groove configurations as well as un-grooved and lap. Sundance 6", 8", and 12" are available in the StayStrate® series.
Butt &endash; joint connectors are available in Sundance Lap.
Sundance®Panels are 4'x 8' 7/16" thick Panels ( also available in 7' and 9' lengths).
- Reverse Board and Batten A classic siding style with 1 _" wide x 9/64" deep groves spaced 12" oc.
- Long edgesare shiplapped.
- Channel Groove Panel 1/2" wide x 3/16" deep groove spaced 8" oc to give a soft shadowline effect. Long edges are shiplapped.
- Flat Panel-Use for accent paneling or with battens (as shown above) to achieve a board and batten effect. (Battens not included.) Edges are square

Sundance®Lap siding is 6", 8", and 12" wide, 7/16" thick, 16' long
- StayStrate® Series* Lap Siding
StayStrate® siding is 6", 8", and 12" wide, 1/2"" thick, 16' long
Georgia Pacific's StayStrate® extra thick hardboard siding ensures that siding will " stay Stright" on the house.
The StayStrate series is available in Fairfax® 4 " & 6", Sturbidge® 4" & 6",
Cadence® 6" , 8", 12", Sundance®
6", 8", 12", Provincetown® and Yorktown®.
StayStrate is 14% thicker than standard
Hardboard siding, making it a product that
Will stay flat on the building and provide a stiff, rigid sidewall. In addition to its increased stiffness, the StayStrate series provides greater resistance to impact, keeping homes looking attractive for years.
And where energy-efficient sheathings are used, StayStrate is particulary recommended for a flatter and stiffer wall.

- Cadence® Cadence® Hardboard Siding
Cadence~ is the traditional siding for any styie of architecture, from Coloniai to Victorian to contemporary. This hardboard siding is com- pletely versatile, most economical and available In a wide variety of configurations. Cadence 6", 8" and 12" are availabie in the StayStrate~ Series. 4' x 8' paneis and butt-jolnt connectors are available.
- Cadence®Panels are 4'x 8' 7/16" thick Panels
- V-8 Panels With V-grooves 8" on center, similar to traditional patterns in vertical board siding. Grooves Are 1/2" wide by 3/16" deep. Long edges are shiplapped.
Flat
Panels Panel-Use for accent paneling or with battens (as
