We are Pleased to Announce…
the addition of Thermo-Vu Skylights to the VELUX^®product family.

On September 15th, 2004, VELUX signed a purchase agreement to acquire the
assets of Thermo-Vu sunlite Industries, a New York manufacturer of skylight systems.

About Thermo-Vu Skylights

Thermo-Vu Skylights are available in numerous glazing options in both our residential and commercial lines. Available glazings include our proprietary heat Mirror™, Low E Argon filled, Tempered, Laminated, Tinted, Acrylic and Polycarbonate engineered plastics. Several curb and flashing options are also available.

All Thermo-Vu Skylights offer butyl and foam sealed glazing on all models to insure long term performance. On most models, our patented water diverting hinge allows most fixed units to be converted to operating units at any timein the future. Santoprene gaskets are featured for their superior memory and shape retention. All our hatches are extruded from a 6063-T5 aluminum alloy and fully welded for superior strength. Each hatch is powder coated and then baked for a long lasting durable finish. Custom colors are available at an extra charge.

Available in several insulated glass options including Heat Mirror™ Mirror™, these expertly crafted roof windows and skylights bring the beauty and brilliance of the outdoors into any home. You'll appreciate the extraordinary energy efficiency of these "windows to the sky." Made in America from the finest materials, Thermo-Vu Sun-Lite™ Roof Windows and Skylights are the first choice for discriminating contractors, builders, and architects. Available in a full range of sizes, Thermo-Vu Sun-Lite™ Roof Windows and Skylights are clearly the best. They are manufactured with the highest quality aluminum step flashing. The curb is mounted to the roof deck with non-corrosive brackets for a weather-tight insulation. More economical than a dormer, this roof window offers greater ventilation and daylight opening than other roof windows with the same rough opening.

This unique vinyl/aluminum model features a deck mounted curb and is easy to install. Each complete unit includes a one-piece welded vinyl/aluminum curb and flashing. Available in fixed or venting styles. This skylight features a Santoprene® gasket with 1" insulated safety glass or Heat MirrorTM glass as an option. E-Z Lite model with lead apron is ideal for metal roofing systems and can be color matched.

Every Thermo-Lite step flashed and full flashed skylight is superbly designed with heavy duty cold rolled copper for maximum protection. Integrally mounted between the roof rafters, these best selling models also feature fully welded powder coated hatch covers, MDO or birch curbs suitable for painting or staining, and several glazing options in glass or acrylic, including Heat Mirror™. Units are also available deck mounted (flush cut) using "L" brackets.

Metro-Lite^TM Series

This heavy duty welded unit is ideal for retrofit of older wire glass inner city pyramid units. Insulated with a PVC curb liner, the Metro-Lite offers easy access to the roof top as well as privacy, when the white or bronze tint acrylic is chosen as an option. Made to any custom size, our standard unit is manufactured to a 37" x 25" outside curb dimension.

The non-venting TCM curb mount model is manufactured to any size and glazing requirement including Heat Mirror™.

Custom-Lite^TM Series

Thermo-Vu combines high tech craftsmanship and contemporary decor with their custom line of skylights. Triangles, pyramids, octagons, etc. in both dome and glass and are available with custom flashing systems. These extraordinary unique models are available fixed or venting and promise to add dramatic effect to any room.

Thermo-Vu can also premull units in the factory with flashing applied, saving the contractor hours of installation time. Most customs can be completed within a two week lead time.

Sun-Room^TM Series

This unit is ideal for patio rooms with insulated aluminum roofs. Available in a variety of glazing options, standard color assortment includes; white, bronze and almond. Trim kits are now available to finish interior roof sections. A solarium model is now available to glaze into glass roofing systems.

Several standard sizes are readily available but custom sizes are manufactured. If you are an OEM sunroom manufacturer, Thermo-Vu would welcome the opportunity to construct a skylight program for your particular requirements.

Sentry 2000 Motor Drive Module New technologies have allowed Sentry 2000 to be efficient as well as economical. This easy to install and operate motor system will automatically open and close to a predetermined position. Telescoping Skylight Pole & Loop Deluxe power pole features a rechargeable motor that opens and closes your skylight at the touch of a button. Easy to use and store. Both poles extend to 12 feet. Skylight loops are color matched to the operator and inner frame of your skylight.
Skylight Finishing Kit Works with sheetrock, paneling, planking and other materials up to 3/4" thick. Eliminates taping, spackling and dusty sanding. Perfect for many other finishing applications. Can be painted or left natural.
Pleated Skylight Shades This energy efficient shade reduces the sun's radiant heat in the summer and limits room heat escaping in the winter. Easy to install. Easy to open and close.
