The benefits of Performa Steel Shingles are long life of the product, low maintenance, energy efficiency as well as resistance to fire, damage from high winds and hail damage. The shingles are environmentally friendly and are an innovative, practical and economical alternative to conventional roofing.
Performa Steel Shingles come with a 50 year limited warranty. Because of the long life and low maintenance costs, a Performa shingle roof can save you 40% or more versus traditional asphalt shingles over the life of your home.
Our Performa Steel Shingles are available in 6 colors* backed by our 20 year limited paint warranty on Kynar 500® paint system which is the premier paint recognized by architects for the coating of metal roofing. Excellence of design makes MasterRib® an industry leader in strength and durability. MasterRib® was developed under the guidance of structural engineers to provide leading edge performance in strength, leak resistance, ease of installation, and functional beauty. MasterRib® provides for a full three feet of coverage with five 3/4" high major ribs on 9" centers. Eight supporting ribs give added strength to the panel. To optimize the strength of our panel, we enlarged both the major and minor ribs because the more area underneath the ribs, the stronger the panel. We enlarged our major ribs to a full 1 7/8" wide and our minor ribs to a full 1 3/8" in width. Not only does the strength of our panel make your building stronger, the extra stiffness makes the panel easier to handle and install.
5V metal roofing is a time-tested classic that gives any building a traditional look. This attractive panel, which has been used time and time again on farm buildings and other rural projects, is today gaining popularity on homes and commercial buildings. The simple, clean lines and open expanses of the panel make it a beautiful addition to any project.
The "R" family of panels performs superbly on roof pitches as low as 1:12 and on spans of up to 5 ft with a 3 ft. coverage width. Our R panel has been engineered and designed to be structurally sound. We have cut no corners in providing you with a full-sized panel to meet your needs. For excellent strength and leak resistance, our R panel has full 1 1/4" high major ribs which are 1" wide at the top and over 3" wide at the base. For roof applications, our PBR panel provides extra support at the lap for improved leak resistance. For an architecturally attractive look, try our IR panel on your side walls. The R, IR, and PBR panels are all 38" wide and provide 36" of coverage. The major ribs are 12" on center with two oversized minor ribs between each major rib for extra strength. Our R, IR, and PBR panels are manufactured from prime 80,000-min psi steel. Our pre-painted panels are finished in the latest four-step color coating technology illustrated below. The R and IR panels are available in 26 gauge bare galvalume and in 26 gauge pre-painted galvalume in 15 baked on enamel colors. Our PBR panel is available in 26 gauge galvalume and in 26 gauge white painted galvalume.
Corrugated panels are the original formed metal roofing and siding sheets. 1 1/4" & 2 1/2" Corrugated steel panels have been a traditional staple of the metal roofing and siding market. Both the 1 1/4" Corrugated and the larger 2 1/2" Corrugated are familiar sights to anyone who has seen rural architecture. Today, usage of corrugated roofing has expanded beyond its rural heritage, adding a traditional look to many restaurants, retail establishments, and other commercial buildings. Corrugated roofing has been an integral part of the landscape of rural America for over a century and will be an attractive addition to your project, whether rural or urban. Union Corrugating's corrugated profiles are available in a wide variety of finishes and thicknesses to suit your requirements. For traditional and long lasting strength and durability, use our most popular size, our 29 gauge galvanized. Our 26 gauge galvalume gives you the extra strength you need for higher wind areas, plus the galvalume gives you the assurance of a 25-year limited warranty. (26 gauge available in 2 1/2" only.) For projects where low cost is the primary factor, consider our Economy Galvanized.
